A concentrated coarse mix formulated for the horse confined to rest in the stable or in the field, through age, injury or disease, or on the "easy list".
The ingredients are especially selected to provide reduced energy levels with quality vegetable protein intake to assist with tissue repair.
INVALID DIET also contains increased levels of minerals and vitamins to ensure that even when fed at reduced quantities, adequate nutrients are available to promote speedy recovery.
This ration should be fed at approximately 30% invalid diet to 70% good quality roughage (by weight), with fresh water freely available.
(These guidelines should be adapted to suit the individual horse.)
